Superintendent

Charles Sulc of Miller Place has received the Fred Podolski Leadership and Innovation in Technology Award from Nassau BOCES for "exemplifying vision, leadership and support for technology initiatives." Sulc is superintendent of Massapequa Public Schools and is credited with helping to lead a $1.6-million upgrade of the district's desktop computer infrastructure that resulted in more than 1,900 computers being replaced in 2009. He also has worked with Nassau BOCES to establish a design model for a 21st Century Learning Academy for the district's administrative team.
