Clara Datre of Hauppauge was recently honored at the Long Island Builders Institute's 72nd annual dinner dance in recognition of her work as the organization's president in 2012. Datre, who is president of Daytree Custom Builders in Ronkonkoma, was the first woman LIBI president in its 71-year history and chairs its board of directors. She previously held the positions of vice president, treasurer and secretary and was instrumental in creating LIBI's two charitable arms, Long Island Home Builders Cares and Long Island Building Cares Development Corp.
