Connie Lacy-Rock of Manorville recently received the Ed Wrigley Memorial Sportsmanship Trophy from the Long Island Horse Show Series for Riders with Disabilities based on her work judging local horse shows, and promoting sportsman practices, for riders with disabilities. Lacy-Rock is an adjunct professor in Dowling College's School of Education, where she has taught special education for more than 25 years, and recently retired from Eastern Suffolk BOCES, where she was an assistant principal of several programs.
