Daniel Des McCarthy of Rockville Centre will receive the Bishop John R. McGann Lifetime Achievement Award next month at Friends of Mercy Medical Center's 75th annual Mercy Ball. McCarthy is a past chairman of Mercy's board of trustees and is being honored based on his dedication to volunteering time and effort in support of Friends of Mercy. He is also an adviser to First Long Island Investors in Jericho and a director of Eastman Dillon Oil and Gas.
