Daniel J. Panico of Manorville has received the Keith Romaine Elected Official of the Year Award from the Town of Brookhaven for his "tireless dedication" to representing all of his constituents. Panico was elected as councilman of the Town of Brookhaven's 6th Council District last year to fill the vacant seat left after the death of Councilman Keith Romaine. He also has served as a member of the town's planning board and as senior deputy county clerk and is a 2003 graduate of Touro Law School in Central Islip, where he served as president of the Student Bar Association.
