Diane G. Mendolia of Setauket was recently honored at the 30th anniversary gala of Options for Community Living in Smithtown based on her efforts helping the nonprofit "enjoy the highest level of accreditation and community recognition." Mendolia is a licensed clinical social worker and program director at Options, where she has served for 30 years, and oversees the daily operations of its mental health, transitional housing and HIV/AIDS programs. She is also on the Setauket Yacht Club's board of directors and previously worked as a community organizer in the Suffolk County Department of Health from 1978 to 1982.
