Donna AsaroElder care

Donna Asaro of Sayville has received the Employee of Distinction Award from the New York Association of Homes and Services for the Aging based on her efforts improving the quality of life for nursing home residents. Asaro has been a nurse at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, a 100-bed facility in Sayville, since 2002 and previously served at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore starting in 1987. She also coordinates multiple activities at Good Samaritan such as trips to baseball games for residents and Easter basket drives for local needy children.
