James R. Albanese of Glen Head was recently honored at the American Heart Association's 49th Annual Heart Ball based on his efforts performing thousands of cardiac catheterizations and coronary artery interventions on Long Island. Albanese is an interventional cardiologist with North Shore-LIJ Medical Group and North Nassau Cardiology Associates in Glen Cove and is the founder and director of North Nassau's cardiology vascular lab. He also provides donated automated external defibrillator devices and training to local youth athletic programs.
