Ed Wolfarth of Syosset was recently named the 2012 Leslie J. Fitzgibbon Tennis Man of the Year by the U.S. Tennis Association's Eastern Section in recognition of his contributions to the sport. Wolfarth teaches physical education and sports science at Queens College and Hofstra University and is the tennis director at Meadowbrook Pointe Athletic Club & Spa in Medford. He has also coached county championship tennis teams at Cold Spring Harbor and Roslyn high schools and was part of an Eastern Section team last year that won the Atlantic Coast 65 Cup.
