Ed Wolfarth of Syosset has received the Hy Zausner Lifetime Achievement in Tennis Award from the Long Island Region of the U.S. Tennis Association's Eastern Section based on his "tireless volunteerism" in the field. Wolfarth, a board member for the Long Island Region, is the racquet sports specialist at Hofstra University and a professor of physical education and sports sciences at Queens College. He has also served as tennis director for Old Westbury Golf & Country Club, athletic director at SUNY Old Westbury, and tennis director at the Tam O'Shanter Club in Brookville.
