Emily F. Franchina of Huntington was recently honored at the Long Island Arthritis Foundation's 2013 "Women on the Move" gala in Farmingdale in recognition of her dedication and service to the community. Franchina is a founding partner of Garden City-based law firm Franchina & Giordano, vice chair of fellows for the New York Bar Foundation, and former president of the Nassau County Bar Association. She has also previously received the Juliette Low Award of Distinction from the Nassau County Girls Scouts and was named to the 2013 elder-law list of Super Lawyers, a rating service of outstanding lawyers in more than 70 practice areas.
