Estela Divino of Mineola recently received the Rose Kryzak Senior Leadership Award from United Adult Ministries based on her "good work on behalf of older adults." Divino has served as social services director at Regal Heights Rehabilitation & Health Center in Jackson Heights, Queens, since 2000, and her advocacy efforts include appealing denials of benefits and helping with enrollment in prescription drug programs. She is also on the Queens Community Board No. 3 Health and Social Services Committee and on the board of the Queens Interagency Council on Aging.
