Evy Rothman of Plainview was recently named Congregant of the Year by the Plainview Jewish Center based on her dedication and service to the facility. Evy, an 18-year member of the Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District's Board of Education, is credited with bringing 21st-century educational practices to the center by implementing smartboard technology and a new state-of-the-art computer lab. She also initiated the hiring of a technology director to boost the district's technology curriculum and staff development.
