Frank Darras of East Setauket has received the Physicians Award for Excellence in Clinical Practice from Stony Brook University in recognition of his "sustained commitment to excellence in patient care." Darras, who was selected for the award by faculty peers, is a professor of urology at the university's School of Medicine and medical director of the Department of Urology's transplantation services. He is board certified in urology and completed a fellowship in renal transplantation at the University of Pittsburgh's Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute.
