Gail Trugman-Nikol, of Hicksville, recently received the Achiever's Award from the Long Island Center for Business and Professional Women in recognition of her business acumen and for "being a trendsetter and an exceptional mentor of women," the organization said. Trugman-Nikol is the owner and president of Unique Business Solutions in Hicksville, which she founded in 2005. She also holds the positions of vice president of communications for the Institute of Management Accountants, executive vice president for Second Chance Animal Rescue in Copiague, and journal chairwoman for the American Heart Association's Go Red Luncheon.
