George P. LaRosa of East Northport recently received the Robert J. Wagner Business Officer of the Year Award from the State University of New York Business Officers Association in recognition of his "outstanding performance, highest professional standards and significant contributions" to SUNY. LaRosa has served as senior vice president and chief financial officer at Farmingdale State College since 2006 and is a professor of business administration at the college. He was previously a bursar at SUNY College of Old Westbury and an accountant with Main LaFrentz & Co., certified public accountants, in New York.
