Gregory FriedSurgeon

Gregory Fried of Great Neck is being honored this month at the 15th annual dinner dance hosted by the Beth C. Tortolani Foundation, an organization that supports programs for women with breast cancer and their families. Fried, a member of the foundation's board of directors, is a board-certified general surgeon and works as a surgical consultant at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan and St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx. He previously served as executive chief surgeon

for the New York Police Department and was a responder to the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.
