Maligno Pro Bono Attorney of the Year Award from the Nassau County Bar Association in recognition of his dedication to assisting those in financial crisis. Somer is a bankruptcy attorney in Westbury, where he practices general, commercial, mortgage foreclosure, and foreclosure defense law. He also serves as a member of the New York State Bar Association's Committee on Volunteer Lawyers and regularly lectures on bankruptcy and other legal topics for various professional groups.
