Jack Sullivan of Glen Head has received the Lifetime Achievement Award in Volunteerism from the Long Island Volunteer Center based on his efforts "helping to prepare people with disabilities for employment." Sullivan volunteers two days a week with Abilities, an Albertson-based nonprofit dedicated to helping people with disabilities integrate into the world of work. He previously worked as an executive at IBM, from which he retired in 1999, is a member of the American Legion and is involved with his local church.
