James Rennert of Selden has been named Outstanding Fundraising Executive for 2012 by the Association of Fundraising Professionals' Long Island Chapter for "exemplifying the very best in philanthropy." Rennert is director of development for the North American Province of the Cenacle Sisters, a Catholic religious congregation where he completed a major gifts campaign last year for a new green and sustainable retreat center and convent in Ronkonkoma. He also has served as the association's president and is a six-term member of its board of directors.
