Janet Stevens of Manorville has received the 2011 Health Care Provider Award from the Town of Brookhaven's Office of Women's Services based on her achievements in the field. Stevens is a staff nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip and a coordinator for prenatal bereavement programs at several Catholic hospitals on Long Island. She is also a faculty adjunct at Suffolk County Community College, a member of the Eastport-South Manor School District's Board of Education, and a volunteer ambassador for the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.
