Janice RaberScuba diver

Janice Raber of Bellport recently received the E.R. Cross Award from the Historical Diving Society based on her efforts fostering the historical and educational goals of the society. Raber, a scuba diver, is a member of the society's international board of directors and the board of trustees for the Women Divers Hall of Fame and the Long Island Divers Association. She also has authored hundreds of articles on scuba diving and dive issues and has appeared before various legislative and regulatory bodies to assure the preservation of Long Island's scuba diving.
