Jay L. Gardiner of South Setauket has been inducted into the Plastics Hall of Fame based on his service and leadership in the industry for more than two decades. Gardiner is owner of Gardiner Plastics, a Port Jefferson Station-based provider of thermoplastic resins and consulting services he founded in 1992, and he is a longtime member of the Society of Plastics Engineers. He is also president of the Plastics Academy in Massachusetts, a past chairman of the Plastics Institute of America, and a member of the Plastics Pioneers Association.
