Joan Connor of Bethpage was recently inducted into the Eastern New York Soccer Hall of Fame in recognition of her 30 years of involvement in youth soccer. Connor, who started as an intramural coach in the Bethpage Soccer Club, went on to serve as the club's president and registrar and has also chaired the tournament control committee of the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association. She is currently second vice president of the Long Island Junior Soccer League and has served as a travel team coach, games supervisor and coordinator in the league.
