Joel Meltzer of Bellmore recently received the Harold Jay Greenberg Torch of Leadership Award from United Cerebral Palsy of Nassau County (UCPN) in recognition of his dedication and service to the organization. Meltzer, the owner of Meltzer Accounting & Tax Service in Queens for the past 25 years, is journal chairman of UCPN's Forget-Me-Not Ball Committee and serves on the organization's board of directors and budget and finance committee. He is also president of the Gold Coast Rotary Club, a board member of the Bayside Business Association, and a member of the American Diabetes Association's Step Out Committee.
