John Lombardo of Brightwaters was recently honored at the Hauppauge Industrial Association's 2012 Gala in recognition of his dedication to workforce education and training. Lombardo is associate vice president for workforce and economic development at Suffolk County Community College, which he joined to direct the Corporate Training Center in 2006, and has been instrumental in securing over $5 million in federal training grants and over $500,000 in New York State workforce grants. He also serves on Rep. Steve Israel's (D-Huntington) Federal Manufacturing Task Force.
