John Murcott of Oyster Bay was recently honored by the Education & Assistance Corp. in Hempstead at its 12th annual spring luncheon based on his efforts to help the agency achieve fundraising and marketing goals. Murcott is CEO and co-founder of Karma411, a Jericho-based social networking website that raises money for nonprofits. He is also a board member with the North Shore Boys & Girls Club and is a member of the Social Venture Network and the Long Island Software and Technology Network's CEO Council.
