Jonathan RudickAssistant professor

Jonathan Rudick of Smithtown recently received the Faculty Early Career Development Program Award from the National Science Foundation for his "outstanding research, excellent education and the integration of both education and research," the organization said. Rudick is an assistant professor in Stony Brook University's chemistry department, where he aims to develop a new class of soft biomaterials that can be processed like conventional synthetic polymers, yet retain the high-structural order found in proteins. He previously served as a scientist for Procter & Gamble and has written nearly 20 peer-reviewed articles.
