Karen BrannenCEO

Karen Brannen of Miller Place received the 2013 Achievers' Award from the Long Island Center for Business & Professional Women in recognition of career achievements. Brannen is CEO of Jefferson's Ferry Lifecare Retirement Community in Setauket and before that served as hospital administrator at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington. She also served two years in the Military Police Corps and was one of six women in a company of 200 men stationed in Taegu, Korea, and was the first civilian for the U.S. Department of Defense to attend graduate school at the Army-Baylor program in San Antonio.
