Karin Caro of Smithtown was recently honored at the American Heart Association's 12th annual Long Island Go Red for Women Luncheon for her commitment to support and create awareness about heart disease and stroke. Caro is president of BluChip Marketing in Bohemia and founder of Linens and Love, an organization that collects linens and home goods and donates them to various charities. She's also on the boards for the Stony Brook Children's Hospital Task Force and Angela's House, an organization that coordinates home-care service for medically frail children.
