Kathy Kollar of Farmingdale recently received the President's CARES (Commendation and Recognition for Exceptional Service) Award from Farmingdale State College for "consistently delivering outstanding performance and service to the college community," the college said. Kollar is an instructional support specialist for Farmingdale's Department of Computer Systems, where she is responsible for ordering, distributing and maintaining equipment. She also handles tasks from giving students schedule advice to opening locked classrooms to helping recover forgotten passwords.
