Ken ChristensenHousing advocate

Ken Christensen of Greenlawn has received the 2011 Chairperson's Award for Leadership in Human Rights from the Suffolk County Human Rights Commission based on his efforts volunteering his time to promote equal opportunity in the area of housing. Christensen, a housing advocate, is credited with helping craft legislation to create the Town of Huntington's Homes Law in 2000 as well as helping draft Huntington's Accessory Apartment Law in 1991. He is also a founding member of the Huntington Township Housing Coalition.
