Kenneth S. FormanEducator

Kenneth S. Forman of Bayport has received the 2012 Award for Excellence in Teacher Service from SCOPE Education Services, a Smithtown-based nonprofit chartered by the New York State Board of Regents to provide services to schools districts. Forman is a physics teacher at Central Islip High School and is credited with fostering the creation of school-business partnerships between the school district and Arrow Electronics, J.C. Penney Co. Inc. and NASA. He previously served as a districtwide science coach and science teacher in the district's alternative high school and Reed Middle School.
