Larry Slatky of Cold Spring Harbor has received the Distinguished Service Award from the American College of Health Care Administrators in Virginia based on his "outstanding volunteer work" with the college's New York chapter and national office over the past 35 years. Slatky is executive vice president of operations at Nassau Health Care Corp. (NuHealth) and has been in the health care profession since 1968 in various positions, mostly in nursing homes. He has been a college member since 1972 and has served as its national chairman.
