Laura Grau of Deer Park has been named a winner in the 2013 Man & Woman of the Year campaign coordinated by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Long Island Chapter for fundraising about $20,000. Grau is manager of volunteer services at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola, chair of the supervisory committee and liaison for Winthrop's Employee Federal Credit Union, and treasurer and an executive board member for the Long Island Association of Directors of Volunteer Services. She is also active with organizations including the Association of Professional Volunteer Administrators and the National Association of Professional Women's Nassau and Suffolk Chapters.
