Laura Palacios of Huntington was honored this month at the American Heart Association's 12th annual Long Island Go Red For Women Luncheon for her efforts to raise support and create awareness about heart disease and stroke, especially as it pertains to women. Palacios is vice president of group director investments for Signature Securities and before that served nine years as vice president of wealth management at Citi/Smith Barney. She has also been a member of Citigroup President's Advisory Council, which is a designation reserved for the institution's top-tiered financial advisers.
