Layne Lieberman-Liebelson of Quogue received the 2012 Distinguished Heart Health Achievement Award last month at the American Heart Association's 16th annual Heart of the Hamptons Ball for being a "driving force" behind the event since its inception as well as for her "leadership and innovation" in the health-food field. Lieberman-Liebelson is a registered dietitian and founder of WebRD, a website that offers food solutions, dietary advice and science-based recommendations. She has also completed a fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx doing research in the areas of diabetes and heart disease.
