Lillian Carey of Melville recently received the Remunda Cadoux Leadership in Foreign Language Supervision Award from the New York State Association of Foreign Language Teachers in recognition of her leadership in the field. Carey is district supervisor for world languages and instructional technology for Hauppauge Union Free School District and president of the Foreign Language Association of Chairpersons & Supervisors. She previously served as Long Island regional director of the New York State Association of Foreign Language Teachers.
