Lisa Ganz of Hauppauge has been named 2012 Social Work Student of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers' New York State Chapter based on her "strong work ethic and steadfast commitment to clients." Ganz was a spring graduate of LIU Post's Master of Social Work program, specializing in alcohol and substance abuse, and has interned at Central Nassau Guidance & Counseling Services in Hicksville and the Huntington Youth Bureau. She has also served as president of the Master of Social Work Graduate Student Association.
