Michael Bledsoe of Roosevelt recently received the Living the Mission Award from Catholic Health Services of Long Island for "exemplifying the values of respect, justice, integrity and excellence," the organization said. Bledsoe, a member of Catholic Health Services, has worked as a biomed technician at Our Lady of Consolation Nursing & Rehabilitative Care Center in West Islip since 1997 and was nominated for the honor by his colleagues. He also has been a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States in Brentwood for the past five years.
