Nancy Carr of Merrick recently received the Sister Mary Nadine Casey, CIJ Award from the Friends of Mercy Medical Center based on her efforts personifying the values of the Rockville Centre-based facility. Carr is the executive assistant to the chief administrative officer and board of trustees liaison at Mercy, which she joined in 1976. She also has been an active PTA member at both of her children's schools and has conducted a series of cooking programs as a volunteer at the North Merrick Public Library.
