Neil Friedman, of Merrick, was recently honored at the Health & Humanitarian Aid Foundation's 2013 Preston Robert Tisch Awards Gala at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in Manhattan for supporting the organization's mission of providing medical and humanitarian aid to people living in poverty in Ghana, West Africa. Friedman, an adviser to toy companies, is a former president of Toys R Us, Mattel Brands and MCA/Universal Merchandising. He also serves on the board of directors of the New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, the Northside Center for Child Development in Manhattan and the Toy Industry Foundation.
