Renata Budny of West Islip has been named one of the top 25 women in dentistry in the United States by Dental Products Report magazine based on her career achievements in the field. Budny is a professor of restorative dentistry at New York City College of Technology in Brooklyn, where she has taught since 2004, and is considered to be an expert on the use of indirect composite resins, the college said. She is also the president and a clinic director of the Greater New York Certified Dental Technician Study Group, for which she organizes four to six lectures a year.
