Richard Christiano of Floral Park was recently inducted into the Eastern New York Soccer Hall of Fame based on his career achievements in the sport. Christiano is president of the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association and served as a coach, program director, and a member of the board of directors for the New Hyde Park Wildcats, a volunteer organization. He has also served as girls administrator of the association's Olympic Development Program and as board member of the Long Island Junior Soccer League, for which he also chaired the membership committee.
