Richard Keidel, of Malverne, was recently named Caregiver of the Year by Melville-based elder law firm Genser Dubow Genser & Cona for being a "dedicated and constant caregiver" to his wife, Charlotte, following a stroke she suffered two years ago, the organization said. Keidel, 80, who was nominated for the award by his daughter Jane, takes care of his wife's feeding, bathing and dressing and also regularly administers her medication and helps her with physical therapy. He started his career as a pharmacist and later owned an ad agency specializing in the pharmaceutical industry.
