Ronald A. TomoHumanitarian

Ronald Tomo of North Bellmore has received the International Humanitarian Award from the American Radio Relay League based on his "devotion to human welfare, peace and international understanding through amateur radio." Tomo is vice president and chief information officer of Nassau Health Care Corp. (NuHealth) and is also a certified level I, II and III emergency communications specialist. His career achievements range from providing phone patches during the Vietnam War to serving as a communications officer for the U.S. Coast Guard during Hurricane Katrina.
