Roy Aranda of Wheatley Heights recently received the Psychologist of the Year Award from the Suffolk County Psychological Association in recognition of his dedication and service to the field. Aranda, a licensed psychologist in New York since 1983, is president of Long Island Psychological Consulting and belongs to several professional groups that evaluate and treat sex offenders. He has also served as an adjunct faculty member at Hofstra University, secretary of the Long Island Hispanic Bar Association, and a visiting professor at John F. Kennedy University in Buenos Aires.
