Salvatore Ferrara of Ronkonkoma has accepted a Community Partner of the Year Award from Habitat for Humanity of Suffolk on behalf of Copiague-based Electrical Training Center of Long Island. Since 2004, Ferrara has served as director of the center, which officers certificate programs in the electrical and heating, ventilation and air-conditioning trades. The center and its students have partnered with Habitat to build 10 homes for Suffolk County families and is currently partnering to build a second home with Habitat's Nassau County chapter.
