Shaun L. McKay of Manorville was recently honored by the Child Care Council of Suffolk at its 28th anniversary Champions of Children luncheon at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury. McKay is the president of Suffolk County Community College, which provides on-site child care for its faculty, employees and students. He is also a member of the United Way of Long Island's board of directors, the Long Island Regional Advisory Council on Higher Education board steering committee, and co-chair of the Superintendent-College President Partnership and the Long Island Regional Economic Development Council's Education and Workforce Work Group.
