Shawn H. Zimberg of Long Beach was recently honored at the 16th annual dinner dance of the Beth C. Tortolani Foundation, a Manhasset-based nonprofit that supports programs for women with breast cancer and their families. Zimberg, a radiation oncologist, is medical director of Advanced Research Centers of New York and was the first to offer image-guided radiation therapy to cancer patients on Long Island, the foundation said. He has also volunteered with the American Cancer Society, the Lean-on-Me Breast Cancer Network in Great Neck, and the Sass Foundation in Roslyn.
